On September 3, 2024, four students from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) of Pakistan, commenced their internship at the Karot Hydropower Project. NUST is one of Pakistan's premier universities, focusing on educating industry-ready graduates for Pakistan's future energy industries.
This initiative is part of the ongoing partnership between China Three Gorges South Asia Investment Ltd (CSAIL) and NUST, designed to enhance technical knowledge and hands-on experience for future engineers and professionals.
The internship program comes from Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signed between CSAIL and NUST, aimed to develop a platform for professional knowledge sharing, research and development. This collaboration serves to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world industrial applications, particularly in the field of hydropower and other renewable energy critical to Pakistan's sustainable energy future.
The Karot Hydropower Project provides opportunities for the students to gain practical exposure to cutting-edge technology and project management practices.
